Oherwydd fod Pasg yn gynnar eleni bydd angen cynnal eisteddfod yr ysgol yn gynnar. Mae hefyd dyddiadau cystadlaethau celf a chrefft yn gynt nag arfer.

Gall plant greu gwaith celf a chrefft yn y ty yn ogystal a’r ysgol. Dyma restr o rai o’r testynau o dan y thema “Egni”

Cynllunio Crys-T Cynllunio Crys-T (blaen ar A4, cefn ar A4, a'i gyflwyno ar darn A3) i gyfleu unrhyw agwedd neu agweddau o'r thema Egni.

Cymeriad Cartŵn Dyfeisio cymeriad cartŵn newydd gan dynnu llun o’r cymeriad ac ysgrifennu darn amdano heb fod yn hwy na 150 gair.

Tudalen Gomig gyda Chymeriad(au) Cyflwyno tudalen gomig gyda chymeriad(au) sy’n ffitio oddi-mewn i dudalen dim mwy na A3.

Llun 2D Creu llun gan ddefnyddio un neu gyfuniad o’r cyfryngau yma: Pensil, Inc, Creon, Pastel neu Baent i fesur dim mwy na 760mm x 560mm

Tecstilau Creadigol Addurno ffabrig 2D neu 3D gan ddefnyddio unrhyw dechneg neu gyfuniad o dechnegau.

Bar Pasta

Bydd ein bar pasta yn agor ddydd Llun. Bydd 4 dewis ar y fwydlen; cinio, cinio llysieuol, pasta gyda chig neu basta llysieuol.

Ni fydd “ffynci” ar y fwydlen mwyach.

NSPCC Diwrnod Pants

Ar ddydd Mawrth mae NSPCC Cymru yn dathlu Diwrnod Pants. Gall plant ddod I’r ysgol mewn gwyrdd neu ddillad anffurfiol.

Urdd Eisteddfod

Due to Easter being early this year closing dates for some Urdd Eisteddfod. There are a large number of art competitions for the Urdd that children can take part in at home. The theme for all art work is “Energy”.

Here is a list of categories that children can enter;

T Shirt Design Design a T-Shirt (front on A4 and back on A4, present on A3) to convey any aspect or aspects of the theme Energy.

Cartoon Character Devise and create your own cartoon character. Draw and write about the character with a 150 word limit.

2D Drawing Create a picture using one or a combination of these media: Pencil, Ink, Crayon, Pastel or Paint to measure no more than 760mm x 560mm

2D Creative 2D Submit any 2D work using one or a combination of the following media: Mosaic, Collage, Tile, Wood, Plastic or Metal to measure no more than 760mm x 560mm

Computer Graphics Original computer-generated work measuring no more than A4

Modified Photograph Modify your own photograph to create a new digital image. A scanner and any software can be used to edit and create one finished piece of work measuring approximately A4 (e.g 10"x8" neu 12"x10"). The original photograph must accompany the work

Photography: Colour Photo One colour photograph to measure approximately A4 (e.g 10"x8" neu 12"x10"). All items should be mounted on black card. All photographs should be presented on standard photograph paper. Photocopy paper are not permitted.

Photography: A Series of Black and White Photos A series of 4 black and white or monochrome photographs. Each photo to measure approximately A5 (e.g 7"x5"). All items should be mounted on black card. All photographs should be presented on standard photograph paper. Photocopy paper are not permitted

Creative Textiles Decorate 2D or 3D fabric using any technique or combination of techniques including: Paint, Print, Stitch, Tie and Flip, Batic, block printing or computer-generated measuring, no more than 750mm x 750mm x 750mm

Puppets Up to 3 puppets of any type such as: finger, hand, or string. A puppet on a string should be presented in a bespoke frame. The dimension of the frame to support the puppets should not exceed 750mm x 750mm x 750mm

Pupils will also have opportunities to create work for these competitions in school.

The closing date for entries is April 23rd. However we will need some time to label and register entries so please return any entries to school by April 17th.

NSPCC Pants Day

Tuesday is NSPCC Pants Day. This is a day the NDPCC use to raise awareness and understanding of their Talk Pants scheme.

We are currently doing some NSPCC activities with children in class around Speak Out and Stay Safe. This gives you as parents an excellent opportunity to reinforce this message at home.

Pasta Bar

Our pasta bar will start on Monday, January 23rd. As of Monday pupils will have these choices every lunch time;

School dinner

Vegetarian School dinner

Pasta bar

or jacket potato

The pasta bar comes with an option of side salad, grated cheese and a choice of wrap or garlic bread.

2.2.2024 School Eisteddfod. Children should come to school in team colours on this day. ** Please note, this is a change to the date previously advertised.
